Caleb's JV team went undefeated in their region. He was able to play a lot of minutes and did a great job. He played on the varsity squad, but only sparingly. He didn't like practice, but he liked playing in the game. They beat their rivals Alta HS twice this season and that was awesome. Beating your cross town rivals makes your season. Many of the players on both teams at one time played with each other on the county and city youth leagues. That's why the rivalry is so strong.He went to Alta's Sweetheart Dance with Sammi. Yes, it's the rival high school. What can I say, he's a lover, not a fighter! She plays softball for Alta. They had a lot of fun according to Cabes. The next weekend he went to Jordan's Sweetheart Dance with Carly. She also plays softball for Jordan. Must be something going on with softball wahines! Anyway, they had a fun time and Cabes liked the dance. Cabes is now into club Volleyball at Jordan. Hopefully they do well this year.
Cabes will be participating in the Youth Temple Celebration in May. He will be dancing. There will be 10,000 youth participating, the largest youth celebration in the Church. It is to celebrate the Draper and Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedications. Should be a grand time for all......
Very nice CJ! Hiks is doing very well and sounds like he's having fun at the same time. Amazing how things come around full circle with your mission and now his. That's one thing all missionaries will go through no matter how long ago its been, it's just like yesterday!
